The Flying Submarine

October 14th, 2015 · No Comments · Dubai, The National, UAE

This is the perfect sea vehicle for the UAE executive who has everything.

The Seabreacher, which can dive about 16 feet below the surface but also come out of the water with sufficient energy to sail into the air before returning to the surface of the water.

As the writer in The National put it: “It’s quite possibly the ultimate executive toy right now — a submersible craft that looks like a cross between a jet fighter and a dolphin (or killer whale, or shark, depending on which model you go for) but drives like a high-powered jet ski.”

The price tag is not as big as one might think, starting at about $80,000.

(Which suggests to me that it’s far more “jet ski” than it is submarine or barrel-rolling air vehicle. But it is a quick jet ski, capable of about 50 mph atop the water.)

Here is the link again, and if you like … check the photo gallery, which can be accessed at the lower-right corner of the main photo.

The Seabreacher is made by a U.S. company (Innespace Productions) and each one takes abpit 90 days to build.

The company has UAE distributor — Deep Blue Sea Diving, based in Dubai — so interested buyers can get busy on their submersible/jet ski/short flight vehicle.
