The Bobblehead All-Americans

January 20th, 2012 · 1 Comment · Baseball

Having done this blog for 3.5 years, most of it while holding a full-time job, while moving or stationary, updated from a half-dozen countries … I can assure you it takes a lot of effort. Just to post. Let alone be good. Let alone be ultra labor-intensive and really good.

Thus, recognizing the effort that went into a clever and informative blog post … well, I feel compelled to share.

The 2011 Bobblehead All-Americans from thebaseballdiaspora.com website.

My friend from SoCal, David, who is aware of my affinity for all things bobblehead, sent along the link.

I’m in awe of the thought that went into that blog item.

This is a person (or persons) who didn’t just get their hands on bobbleheads … he/she/they studied them at great length. (“… the guard on the right cleat, Ethier’s number 16 on the back of each shoe in red”) before coming up with incisive commentary.

This is a person who really, really loves the blog … or perhaps doesn’t have a job. And maybe both.

Bravo.

The minor league hockey team here is giving away a bobblehead tonight of its enforcer…..it’s the gloves, not the head, the bobbles. (But the gloves don’t come off)
